The 7210 SAS supports disabling the console port. In remote deployments, operators can choose to disable user access to the node through the console and through the Ethernet management port to prevent unauthorized and malicious access. Operators can use the bof>console-disabled command to disable the console.
Access to the console is only disabled when the TiMOS image is loaded. Console access remains unchanged during the boot loader stage of the boot-up process. That is, the bof command takes effect only when the node is booted with the TiMOS image.
