Preprovisioning a VC

To preprovision a VC, users must configure the card-type for the slot they want to preprovision. When the card type is configured, the ports are automatically created for that slot, allowing configuration of the services using the ports of the slot.

The vc-stack-node command can be configured later and is independent of the card-type configuration. The vc-stack-node configuration identifies the slot and the MAC address of the node and is used only by the IMM-only node to become part of the VC. If the software detects a mismatch between the hardware type of the IMM-only node and the configured/provisioned card type, it logs an error and reboots the card, allowing the user to correct the value and fix the problem.
