DS3/E3: Channelization & Cpipe |

Additional features have been implemented in R5.0R1 on the DS3/E3 card to support channelization and services at different levels of channelization. The intent of this configuration note is to provide a very high level overview as to the steps required to channelize the DS3 port and provide Cpipes for either the entire port or a portion of a channelized DS3. The E3 port cannot be channelized, but the entire E3 can be transmitted inside of an appropriate Cpipe.
A DS3/E3 card will be used to provide localized SAP to SAP services, only minor changes are required to provide distributed services which are well documented in other configuration notes.
