entropy-label boolean

Synopsis

Enable entropy level insertion on the PW port

Context

configure pw-port number sdp reference entropy-label boolean

Description

When configured to true, the entropy label and ELI are inserted in packets for which at least one LSP in the stack for the far-end of the tunnel used by the service has advertised entropy label capability.

  1. For RSVP or SR-TE tunnels, the entropy-label command must be enabled under the config>router>mpls or config>router>mpls>lsp contexts.
  1. For SR-ISIS, SR-OSPF, or SR-TE tunnels, the override-tunnel-elc command must be configured under the config>router>isis or config>router>ospf contexts.
  1. For LDP tunnels, the entropy-level capability must be configured under the configure>router>ldp context.

When configured to false, entropy label insertion on the PW port is not allowed.

The entropy label is only applicable to PW ports bound to a static port; it is not applicable to ports using an FPE.
