Two variations of this procedure can be performed.
When the SR OS does not allow assigning the same SID index or label to different routes of the same prefix within the same IGP instance, it resolves only one of the duplicate SIDs if received from another segment routing implementation and they are based on the RTM active route selection.

The selected SID is used for ECMP resolution to all neighbors. If the route is inter-area and the conflicting SIDs are advertised by different ABRs, ECMP toward all ABRs uses the selected SID.
