For configuration changes that cannot be performed online, the correct sequence to follow to make those changes is the following:
Shut down the NAT group on the current standby.
Remove the sync-tag of the MCS peer on the currently active node. The MCS peer does not need to be shut down.
Perform the needed configuration change on either node. While such configuration changes are performed, NAT redundancy is non- operational (the NAT group and peer are down).
