Managing logging in VPRNs

Log events can be sent from within a VPRN instead of from the base router instance or the CPM management router instance. For example, a syslog collector may be reachable through a VPRN interface.

To deploy VPRN logs, the user must configure an event log inside the config>service>vprn>log context (classic CLI) or the configure service vprn log context (MD-CLI).

By default, the event source streams for VPRN event logs contain only events that are associated with the specific VPRN. To send a VPRN event log for the entire system-wide set of log events (VPRN and non-VPRN), use the config>log services-all-events command (classic CLI) or the configure log services-all-events command (MD-CLI). This can be useful, for example, when a VPRN is being used as a management VPRN.
