Figure 1 shows a scenario in which the PIM domains and the BIER domain (including the source and the hosts) are all in a single area. The source can be directly connected to the EBBR. In this case, the EBBR is the source of the route for multicast source, or on the EBBR a static route can be configured for the multicast source and this is re-distributed into the IGP.
